A.     Data processing on our website 

Categories of personal data collected

Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer. The following data is collected:

• Internet pages from which the user's system accesses our website;

• Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.);
• Web browser and operating system used;
• Amount of data transferred.

Processing purposes

The processing of personal data on our website is limited to those data that are necessary for the provision of a functional website and user-friendly content and services. 

Legal basis

The processing of personal data in connection with our website is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a and f DSGVO and Art. 31 para. 1 DSG on the basis of:

• your consent (if you provide us with your data voluntarily, e.g. by filling out a form);
• our legitimate interest, e.g. in ensuring the stability and operational security of the system.

Storage duration

We store the personal data collected each time our website is accessed and files are transferred for a maximum period of 90 days. This data is stored for reasons of data security - in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server - as well as to ensure the stability and operational reliability of our system.

Web analytics

We analyze the use of our website with GoogleAnalytics and GoogleTagManager. This is used exclusively to optimize the website in terms of user-friendliness and to provide useful information about our services. This data is not merged with other personal data sources or passed on to third parties. 
There is no personal analysis. The analyses are based on anonymized data records. In addition to the data mentioned, the web analysis tool also uses so-called "cookies" (see below).

Cookies

We use cookies on our website to make our offer user-friendly. This is based on the legal basis of legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO or Art. 31 para. 1 DSG (technically error-free and optimized provision of the website). Cookies are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your terminal device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. The cookies remain stored until you delete them. This allows us to recognize your browser on your next visit. 

If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you allow them in individual cases. However, we would like to point out that deactivating cookies means that you will not be able to use all the functions of our website.

This data is thus used solely for the purpose stated in the online form; it is not evaluated in any other way, nor is it linked to other data or passed on to third parties.

An SSL certificate is stored for the online forms.

Social Networks

Our website uses social media plugins to various social networks. The plugins are marked with a logo, thumbnail or text hint. The connection to the provider is only established when you click on the provider's icon. Therefore, data is not automatically transmitted to social media services when you visit our website. Only when you click on the icon will your browser establish a connection to the servers of the operators of the social media services, this is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO or Art. 31 para. 1 DSG). We have no influence on how the social media service providers process your data, you can find more information about this in the corresponding privacy statements, which are linked below.

Google Maps

This page uses the map service Google Maps. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This infor-mation is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there; this is done on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit a DSGVO or Art. 31 para. 1 DSG). B.     General Data Processing of Balgrist Campus AG

Categories of personal data collected

Balgrist Campus AG collects the following data:

• Salutation, title, first name, last name,
• Address,
• E-mail address,
• Telephone number (landline and/or cell phone),
• Date of birth,
• Bank details,
• Project information (scientific studies),
• Contract information (rental contracts).

Processing purposes

The collection of this data takes place as far as necessary,

• to be able to identify you as our customer/supplier;
• to conclude a rental agreement;
• to conduct a study (science project);
• for correspondence with you;
• for invoicing.

Legal basis

Your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b, c DSGVO or Art. 31 para. 1 DSG

I.     with your consent; 
II.    based on a contract, respectively pre-contractual measures;
III.  due to a legal obligation.

Duration of the storage of personal data

After collection, your data will be stored by Balgrist Campus AG for as long as this is 

• required in compliance with the statutory retention periods;
• necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes of Balgrist Campus AG;
• required due to legitimate interests (documentation for scientific studies: 10 years).

Security

We obtain and process personal data in order to ensure and continuously improve the appropriate security of our IT and other infrastructure (e.g. offices). This includes, for example, monitoring and controlling electronic access to our IT systems (through the use of passwords) and physical access to our premises, analyzing and testing our IT infrastructures, system and error checks and creating security copies.

For security reasons, certain areas of the building are video-monitored (marked with a camera symbol).

Automated decision-making or profiling

Balgrist Campus AG does not use automated decision-making or profiling.

C.    Data security

Webseite

We use the widespread SSL certificate within the website visit. You can see whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the address bar of your browser. 

General data processing

In addition, we generally apply appropriate technical and organizational security measures during data processing to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures correspond to the current state of the art.

D.    Data forwarding

Particularly in the context of hosting and operating the website, we also involve external service providers. We select our service providers carefully and are required by law to monitor the data processing by these companies and to oblige them not to process the data for their own purposes or to pass it on to unauthorized third parties. We point out that it is possible that your data will be processed by our service providers both in the EU/EEA and in countries without an adequate level of data protection. If we use such providers in insecure countries, the transfer is based on Art. 46 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO or Art. 16 para. 2 lit. d DSG.

• require us to restrict the processing of your personal data;

• to file a complaint with the responsible data protection supervisory authority.
