Askion HS200S/Azenta BioStore
Utilizing the ultra-cold temperature of liquid nitrogen vapor (down to -196 °C), samples can be stored for very long periods (>10 years) without loss of quality. When using a preservation buffer, live cells can be stored in these tanks almost indefinitely. Our automated liquid nitrogen supply system, connected to a 5,000 liter liquid nitrogen storage tank outside our research facility, ensures that this frigid environment is kept constant at all times.
Using an integrated barcode scanner, samples are stored and retrieved in a fully automated (Askion HS200S) or semi-automated (Azenta BioStore) setup. After collection, our uninterrupted cold chain continues to ensure optimal sample quality until they arrive at your laboratory.
