Sample storage and management

The SCMB has state-of-the-art freezers to ensure that your samples can be safely stored at a constant temperature. The different types of storage devices (upright -80°C cabinets and liquid-nitrogen cooled sample tanks) are located in a separate room accessible only to Biobank staff.

Sample processing

The SCMB has modern laboratory equipment for cell sorting, cell culture or histological work. Laboratory space for independent processing and analysis of samples can be rented by arrangement.

RNA/DNA extraction

Imaging

At the SCMB, you can visualize your samples by using our fluorescent imaging systems. This service is offered in cooperation with the Center for Microscopy and Image Analysis of the University of Zurich.
